| Company Overview:
Travelocity began in 1996, and is a leader in
consumer-direct pricing for travel services. They have
websites in 12 different languages currently, serving
customers worldwide. They had revenue of about $830
million in 2005, which is growing steadily with each
year. |
|
| Our Review:
Considering that Travelocity has such a great
reputation, they’re bound to have great deals on Las
Vegas hotels. The company has a really basic website,
making it easy for anyone to use. They also have top
rate customer service and a full array of hotels,
flights, and car rentals in the city, as well as other
cities around the world. |
|
| User Review:
Travelocity saved me about $200 on my Las Vegas hotel
and flight, compared to the other sites I checked out.
Of course, I also took the time to fly into town on the
cheapest day and to fly out on the cheapest day, too.
Still, I didn’t think I’d ever be able to afford to stay
at a hotel on the strip, but thanks to Travelocity, I
did. |

| Company Overview:
Expedia was formed in 1995, within the Microsoft
Corporation. The company went public in 1999 as Expedia,
Inc., which now owns and operates many other trip
planning and travel websites aside from Expedia.
Specifically, Expedia offers travel planning, flights,
Las Vegas hotels, and car rentals. |
|
| Our Review:
Expedia is another great company for cheap Las Vegas
hotel rates. You don’t necessarily even have to combine
their services to save money, but it doesn’t hurt by any
means. The website makes checking rates and booking
flights easy, and the customer service is what you would
expect from a company like this one. |

| User Review:
Expedia saved me a ton of money on my Las Vegas hotel!
I’m so glad that I took the time to check them out. They
had such great deals, and the website was super easy to
use, which was great since I’m not a big internet user.
Overall, a great service, and I’ll definitely be back
for more trip discounts. |

| Company Overview:
Priceline is a worldwide company that was founded in
1998. They have many different websites that customers
can visit in addition to priceline.com, including
websites for countries around the world. They are famous
for their ‘Name Your Own Price’ service, and have about
300 employees. |
|
| Our Review:
Priceline is a great place to find a Las Vegas hotel.
From the MGM Grand Las Vegas to Mandalay Bay Las Vegas
and everything in between, they have some of the best
rates you can find. If you’d rather name your rate and
then get a hotel based on that price, you can do that,
too. The website makes booking a hotel so easy, and the
customer service is extraordinary. |
|
| User Review:
Priceline is probably my favorite website, ever. I do a
lot of traveling, and take about three trips to Las
Vegas each year. The fact that they have such great
rates on Las Vegas hotel stays is helpful to my budget
for each trip. I have yet to find a better deal, or an
easier service to use for booking hotels in Las Vegas. |

| Company Overview:
Las Vegas Guide is an insider’s guide to everything Las
Vegas. The book was published in 2006, and has sold
thousands of copies since then. There is a 100%
satisfaction guarantee, and many complimentary gifts
that come with the purchase, which are not required to
be returned even if the book is. |
|
| Our Review:
Las Vegas Guide has some great tips on how to get Vegas
hotel rooms for really cheap prices. Everyone that
travels to the city should have a travel guide like
this. Plus, the website makes ordering easy, and the
customer service is pretty great, too. The satisfaction
guarantee, as always, is one of our favorite features. |
|
| User Review:
My friend recommended the Las Vegas Guide to me before I
took a trip to Vegas. I borrowed his copy, and found so
much useful information that I decided to buy my own
copy to take with me. I saved money on Vegas hotel
rooms, food, and even show tickets. I love this book! |

Choosing the Right Las Vegas Hotel |
|
There are so
many different Vegas hotel options to choose from that
you can easily feel overwhelmed. Of course, everyone
wants to stay in the nicest hotel that they can find, as
long as they can afford it. By taking the time to plan
your trip according to your budget, you will likely find
out that some Las Vegas hotels might just be out of
reach. However, it doesn’t matter if you want to stay at
Circus Circus Las Vegas, the Wynn Las Vegas, or one of
the many other hotels in the city, because you can find
deals on them as long as you know where to look. The
easiest and most obvious way to save money, of course,
is to go during the off season. Las Vegas hotels don’t
really have one particular season that is less popular
than another, but you can find better rates during
non-travel months. The most popular months in Vegas are
the summer months and holidays, which is when people
usually travel to the city. Going at a time other than
this will often elicit better deals on hotels in the
long run. There are many different ways to choose a
hotel, but ultimately you should consider the amenities
that you want, as well as the destinations that are most
desired. Just remember that if you want to stay in a
luxury hotel, you’ll likely pay luxury prices, even if
you do get a discount or a lower rate through a travel
website or somewhere else. Focus on first choosing the
dates that you’re traveling, and the budget that you
have set for the trip. Then you can look at the
available Las Vegas hotels, including the different
types of rooms that you can get for the money that you
want to spend. As long as you keep in mind what you want
and can afford, you will likely find exactly what you
need.
